Alcaidesa Links Golf Club, which opened in 1992 and was designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, is an experience that cannot be found anywhere else in Spain, it is the only links course in Spain meeting competition standards. This 18-hole course is par 68 and 4924 metres long and brings together the best of the sea, sky and earth and creates a unique course. It is located to the west of San Roque, in an area rich with enthusiastic golfers. Whilst playing, there is no way to escape the silent presence of the majestic rock of Gibraltar, which dominates a large part of the course, and the Atlas mountains of Africa, which combine to offer a unique space which is a delight to all the senses. The Spanish PGA have held several tournaments here, including the Junior Ryder Cup in 1997, and if you enjoy a links course it is well worth playing this one.
Alcaidesa golf course meanders along the edge of the Mediterranean and has four beachside holes, in playing you need to know how to handle the wind, especially in the winter. The type of soil, layout and breadth of the landing areas are well suited to players of all ages and abilities who are looking for a good day's golfing without having to bend the ball one way or the other. The greens are not oversized or too complicated, but to card a good score or win your bet, you will need to hit it straight and have a good short game. The course underwent an extensive programme of remodelling in 1999, fairways were improved and widened and greens were levelled. The work carried out has apparently worked wonders for the maintenance of this fast developing golf club.

This is a unique mould breaking club offering 3 courses designed by Severiano Ballesteros. The 18-hole par72 course is of international quality and has challenging holes, lush fairways and greens set amongst pine woods. The 9-hole par3, which borders a beautiful lake, and the 18-hole junior courses are both appropriate for practicing new players and youngsters. The 3 courses cover an area of over 1,150,00 metres and have a total of 45 holes!
The main characteristic of the 18-hole par72 course is its hilly design preserving the land's natural contours. The fairways are long and narrow so straight hitting is a must, and their wide diversity forces the player to think carefully before choosing the club and stroke. It is a technical course offering a challenge to the experienced and a test to evaluate the progress of the less experienced.
The majestic views of the mountains, Africa and the Mediterranean offer indescribable beauty, and because of the altitude and dry climate, the course is particularly suitable for playing year around.

This superior 27-hole course designed by Dave Thomas is set in the upper part of Sotogrande. In 2001 the third 9-hole course was opened, it has a spectacular layout built around a series of vast lakes requiring some of the most breathtaking tee shots in Europe. This beautiful undulating course is surrounded by cork oak trees, wild pines, several streams and an impressive natural lake - all ingredients of a spectacular setting, especially on the 15th hole!
With its winding narrow fairways, deep bunkers and its varied and imaginative links, this is a challenge even for the best golfer. Play changes from one day to the next depending on the prevailing wind, it is a course for thinkers, and requires intelligence, accuracy and planning. Players always return to enjoy its stiff test.

This course was the first designed by Spanish Ryder Cup player Jose Maria Canazares and was the second 18-hole golf course to be built on the east side of Malaga. When the club was opened in 1990 the course only had nine holes, but now it has eighteen. Its water hazards are its main feature as they from a part of eleven of the holes and surround the green on the 17th on three sides. Characterised by dotted palm trees, with the sea in the background, you will probably end up using all your clubs in the bag with the mix and match of rounds of golf at this course. Lots of water, spectacular views of the sea and the surrounding mountains make this course a delight
Caņizares has designed a course that is suited to all golfers, from beginners to experienced players and pros, but is demanding from the first tee. With a total length of 5,976 metres from the amateur tees, all the course's easy-to-play fairways and rolling greens are wide, its lush vegetation and great expanses of water enhance its natural beauty, and its long par make it necessary to use strength, precision and patience. The 3rd and 8th are the most spectacular and difficult holes of all. The former, a 525-metres par-five, affords marvellous views of the sea from its tee. The latter, a par-four with a dogleg to the right, is plagued with difficulties. The par-three 17th is also worth mentioning as a lake has to be crossed before reaching the green and finally the 18th will captivate you with its beauty. Supplemented by excellent practice facilities and driving range, this makes for a pleasant destination for all golfers, all in all, a varied and pleasant round.

Antequera Golf is a spectacular 18 hole course with a par of 72 situated 30 minutes from Malaga and 650 metres above sea level, between the mountains of El Torcal (which were under the sea millions of years ago) and la Vega of Antequera plains.
Those who have played this course emphasise the marvellous contrast of the landscape, the diversity of its fairways, the chance to use all the clubs in your bag, the perfect maintenance of the course, the superb service, complete customer care and overall respect for nature. Each hole carries a name of an aromatic plant or a fruit tree as the course is flourished by plants and trees that give it a special character of real inland Andalucia.
Antequera Golf offers a demanding, over 6050 metres long, golf course with different options to play according to the player's level. Designed by one of the best Spanish golfers of his generation Jose Maria Canizares, this course is a challenge for the lowest handicap.
