La Duquesa is located by the La Duquesa yacht harbour in the municipality of Manilva, and winds round El Hacho beacon hill with magnificent views over the blue Mediterranean, the Rock of Gibraltar and to Africa, it is settled in a truly spectacular landscape. This 6,142m, Par 72 course was designed by master architect Sir Robert Trent Jones and was established in 1985, it is a typical Trent Jones layout demanding concentration, straight and accurate driving and iron nerve putting.
The course itself, is very varied with 18 entangled and very entertaining holes, which makes it more enjoyable for players of all levels. The course is divided into two clearly distinct parts, the first nine holes follow the English style, with narrow fairways and raised greens requiring accuracy and skillful play. The back nine however are easier, the fairways are wider and allow you to make up for some of the mistakes made from the first nine holes. The signature hole is the par 3 8th Hole, it is just 129 metres long but has a drop of 30 metres and there is nothing better than to place oneself atop the spectacular Hole 8, knowing it would be extremely difficult to match such perfection in the nature and design of a golf course. The views may play havoc with your scoring.
The course has good practice facilities and lessons for all standards of players can be arranged. La Duquesa in terms of facilities, is probably the most complete club on the coast, with tennis, squash, gym, Snooker, sauna, Turkish Bath, Jacuzzi, Indoor Pool, bowls, yacht harbour and of course, golf!

This 9-hole par 33 golf course opened in December 2003 and was designed for all levels by Francisco Navarro making it a challenging course for beginners and experienced players alike. It is located in the privileged location of La Cala de Mijas, between Fuengirola and Marbella on the flats of La Cala and within easy access to the A-7 coastal highway.
It is a completely flat course combining technical holes and others where more distance is required. The biggest difficulty is in the approach to the greens which are defended by 3 magnificent lakes and a river running through the course, forming the course's spine as well as a perpetual hazard. There is one par 5 of 438 metres and 4 par 4s ranging from 198-310 metres.
Also at La Noria is a restaurant, pro shop, driving range, putting and chipping areas and golf lessons are available upon request.

Vacation Care Golf Recommended Course
Situated on the road to Ronda, in the heart of Nueva Andalucia's 'Golf Valley', this is one of the most busiest and most charismatic courses on the Costa del Sol. Opened in 1989, it has been reconstructed to provide 27 championship holes, the 18-hole and the 9-hole can be combined to suit each player. Antonio Garcia Garrido and Manuel Pinero, a former Ryder Cup player, designed this course to test the ability of all golfers. The difficulties lie in the narrow and uneven fairways that roll towards the fast greens that are protected by the deep bunkers. In short, this is a course that requires accuracy and good stamina to avoid its trees, water hazards and bunkers. The third loop of nine leads back to one of the best equipped clubhouses on the Costa del Sol which offers a gym, paddle-tennis, swimming pool, squash courts and Turkish Baths.
This is a comfortable and fun course which is in immaculate condition with its lush green fairways offering some of the most attractive panoramic views of the mountains and coastline.

Set amongst the Ronda hills, Los Arqueros is just a short drive from San Pedro de Alcántara and Puerto Banus. This 18 hole, par 71 championship course varies with contrasting landscapes including three lakes and several streams winding through two valleys, it is one of the most enviable, tranquil and spectacular settings to be found on the coast as the scenery is outstanding and will certainly enhance your day’s golf.
Opened in 1991, Los Arqueros prides itself on being the Costa del Sol’s first Severiano Ballesteros design, his aim was to lay out a course which closely follows the natural contours of the land. Seve has marked himself by placing a bunker in the form of a 'S' (Seve) on the 9th hole. It’s undulating terrain, mixture of narrow well conditioned fairways, well-placed hazards and small greens should appeal to attacking players prepared to make bold shots as its tight layout encourages a bold approach. Watch out for the strategically placed trees that bring a new challenge to each and every hole. Although not overly long it offers a stiff technical challenge even for professionals and also an interesting round of golf suitable for low and high handicap players alike. Accuracy and direction rather than length are the key factors in producing a good round.
Heavy investments have been made to improve course conditioning and are always ongoing under the guidance of technical experts at the Seve Ballesteros organisation. In the last years all efforts have been focused on obtaining Environmental, Health and Safety and Quality certificates making this course one of the very few in Spain to have achieved them.
As well as a bar and restaurant, there is a pro shop, gymnasium and sauna, squash, tennis and paddle tennis courts, putting and chipping greens, as well as a driving range.
