Opened in April 2001, Cabopino Golf is situated between Marbella and Fuengirola and heads into the umbrella pine-covered hills above Cabopino Marina and has very easy access from the main coastal highway. This 18-hole par 71 course is a scenic 5,170 metres long, a touch shorter than championship courses but keeps the golfers coming back! The course offers a stiff challenge for high handicap players who will be rewarded and will enjoy using all of the clubs in their bag. Those with a lower handicap will have to take a risk on every shot if they want to get satisfactory results.

Designed by Juan Ligues, the modern layout reflects the up and down nature of the land, the best way of describing it is short and sweet because it offers three Par-3's, two Par-5's and thirteen Par-4's. It swirls towards a quite undulated area (a buggy is required) however, more land inward it breaths a rustic atmosphere away from traffic and tourism. Each hole is completely different and offers its own individual challenges; there are some narrow fairways, the greens are large with some with platforms and are always in excellent condition and the well designed lakes affect 4 of the holes and will test your accuracy from the tee and add to the already wonderful views, specifically towards the ocean. The signature hole has to be the third (288m par 4) where the tee drops dramatically from the side of a cliff to the fairway situated some 200 metres below! A very large bunker also protects the second shot to the elevated green to make it even more difficult.

With it’s beautiful woodland setting, stunning sea views, and sheer variety of play, Cabopino Golf course is fast becoming one of the most sought after courses in the Marbella region. If you haven't played Cabopino yet, you must do so, you will soon understand why so many visitors return.

Calanova Golf is situated in the Mijas Golf Valley, between the sea and Mijas mountains. The course offers extraordinary sea and mountain views from every hole. Calanova is an 18 hole, par 72, is 5.866 metres long and it has been built according to the United States Golf Association (USGA) rules and regulations with regard to the trees, bunkers, drainage and greens.

Greens have an average area above 500 sqm and layers will find them very exciting due to extraordinary shaping work. This characteristic will allow alot of pin positions, from the very simple to the most difficult ones. There are a variety of fairway layouts, all of them are wide in the ball drop areas and clear so that you can see the obstacles before hitting the ball. Tees are spread in different platforms, providing the players the possibility of playing the course with a huge variety of distances. This number of platforms also ensures that the tees are always in excellent condition.

At the moment Calanova Golf Club has a 300 sqm temporary Club House where you can find a pro shop, changing room with showers, reception and a restaurant with spectacular sea views from the terrace.

Set on a beautiful, wide open stretch of verdant countryside with uncrowded beaches and sweeping views of the coast between Marbella and Sotogrande, Doña Julia is one of the most ambitious golf and leisure developments on the Costa del Sol. The opening of the Club in December 2005 marked a first for the Casares area, which had never had its own golf club.

The Club looks set to become one of the most prestigious courses west of Marbella. The resort will eventually feature three golf courses, plus a tempting list of leisure amenities that reads like a Hollywood celebrity’s wish list. Built by the Evermarina Group, the developers believe Doña Julia will be one of the top golfing destinations in Europe.

The first of the three 18-hole courses is now open for play. Designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido, this now provisionally par 71 and 6,021 metre long course features two distinct layouts, so there’s plenty of variety, whatever your handicap. Once the construction of the Hyatt Hotel is completed, the course will be 72 par and 6,100 metres long.

The first 9 holes are longer (and trickier), winding between indigenous trees, lakes and rivers. The second 9 lie on flatter ground on the lower end of the course, close to the beach, and are less challenging. Wherever possible, nature’s landscaping has been left in place, while the course’s irrigation system, using a network of four lakes, is designed to save water. One of the most outstanding features of this course is the spacious feel of the greens, some as large as 1,000m2, which are sown with the same special grass as the greens at the famous Valderrama course.

The driving range together with the golf school, putting green and 9 hole Par 3 shorts etc. will be opening at the end of this summer (2007). Information will be provided shortly.

Opened in September 2006, El Chaparral Golf Club is an 18 hole, par 72, 5820 metres championship golf course which sweeps along the undulating coastline of Mijas Costa. It is located above La Cala, approximately 20 minutes drive from Malaga and only minutes from Fuengirola going towards Marbella. The golf ground of The Chaparral stands out for its outstanding views of the blue Mediterranean as well for its beautiful surroundings; the course and its clubhouse are unique on the Costa del Sol as practically every hole overlooks the sea. El Chapparal is certainly a course where you will experience that 'Peace with the World' feeling as you take in the spectacular views, the warm sea breezes and the heady scent of Mediterranean brush and pine. It is a well worn cliché, but 'golfers paradise' will not be far from your mind as you make your way around.

Its wide and varied fairways and greens were designed exclusively by Pepe Gancedo for all levels of golf; it is a course suited to both the accomplished player as well as the high handicapper, and flexible teeing ensures that everyone can enjoy its undulating contours playing to their own ability. The nature of the terrain, the indigenous vegetation and pine forests ensure that no two holes are alike. It has six par 3’s (2 of which feature daunting postage stamp greens), six par 4’s and six par 5’s all following smooth hills and valleys. This is a beautiful and challenging course to play.

The El Chaparral Golf course is characterised by a pro shop, the golf driving range, a golf academy and a splendid 150 seater bar & restaurant with conference facilities. The clubhouse and restaurant are of a very high standard with stunning views over the course.

El Paraiso golf course is located between Estepona and San Pedro and lies in one of the Costa del Sol’s most spectacular valleys, running from the Mediterranean to the foothills of the Sierra Bermaja mountains. This Par 71 course has 18 holes, is 6131 metres, was designed by Gary Player and was opened in 1973, it is one of the oldest established courses on the coast. For more than twenty years it has been a Mecca of golf, whether you are a low handicap or just wanting to enjoy a round of golf on your holiday, the course offers golfers of all ages and abilities an exciting challenge.

Gary Player has used these natural resources brilliantly to create one of the best-designed courses on the Costa del Sol. The setting is incomparable - lush wide fairways are punctuated by meandering streams, flanked by palm trees and an abundance of exotic fauna, including oleander, jacaranda and mimosas. Lakes provide beauty and a home for water birds and the golf balls of the unwary! Everywhere you look the views are magnificent, from many holes you can see the blue of the Mediterranean and there is always the backdrop of the dramatic mountains.
